There’s little that can prepare you for your first sighting of Cape Town, as few cities in the world can compare to it for its combination of dramatic mountains, picturesque vineyards, stunning beaches and urban energy. It just has that special something that consistently captivates the hearts of all who visit. This is best showcased with a stay at 21 Nettleton, where the unique personal experiences and superb views are the best in the city. Each of the private and individually styled suites in this boutique hotel are appointed with the finest modern amenities and ideally placed to appreciate the expansive views and stunning landscape. The focus here is to provide guests with a memorable, personalised and tranquil stay.
Stellenbosch is a picturesque university town of oak-lined avenues and historical architecture surrounded by mountains and vineyards. While the town is home to enticing art galleries and mouth-watering restaurants, it’s the wine route that most visitors come to experience. Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa boasts arguably the best views in the region and is surrounded by sweeping views across stunning vineyards and mountains. This incredible location provides a sense of escape for their guests, who can enjoy art and design, gourmet foods, award-winning wines and a world class spa imbued with warm, South African hospitality throughout their stay.
Bordering Botswana in South Africa’s North West Province, the lesser-known Madikwe Game Reserve is the fifth largest reserve in South Africa. It’s home to a healthy population of wild dogs as well as the world-renowned Big Five, although the reserve might be best known for the quality of its expert guides and trackers. Jamala provides one of the most stylish and graceful lodges in the area. With a classic sense of style, the lodge is a sanctuary amongst vast open plains, dense bushveld and towering rocky peaks.

In South Africa, you will only be able to pay in local currency, the South African Rand or by credit card. It may be a good idea to exchange a small amount of currency into South African Rand at the airport when you arrive into South Africa so you are not caught off guard in the airport or shortly after arrival. Alternatively, it will be easy enough to draw Rand directly from an automatic teller machine. You will be able to pay safely with a credit card everywhere you go in South Africa although it is useful to know that many outlets do not accept American Express so it would be better to travel with either Visa or Mastercard.
Easily customisable to extend or reduce stays or even change a property to an alternative. The order of destinations can also be reversed.
Generally safari stays are booked further in advance than your average city or beach destination and so we recommend 6 – 8 months minimum. In addition, all properties we have used are small and with limited availability.
Payment is required in advance and can be made by credit card or bank transfer. A deposit is required to secure your bookings and the balance is due by 60 days prior to travel.
